Early Years: 2001 to present

Ulrich Schnauss first album release was in 2001 with the album ‘Far Away Trains Passing By’ (City Centre Offices 2001).

The album was a critical success and laid the foundations for the wider profile and exposure that his second album brought.

The album - ‘A Strangely Isolated Place’ (City Centre Offices 2003) – showcased Schanauss’ delicate, intricate and supremely melodic soundscapes.

A Strangely Isolated Place’ also included Schnauss’ most successful track to date, the epic Ambient track ‘Monday Paracetamol’ (City Centre Offices 2003).

Schnauss’s sound doesn’t just draw on electronic Ambient influences, but also on Shoegaze wall of sound artists such as My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, as seen in the track ‘Clear Day’ (City Centre Offices 2001).  Schnauss’ Shoegaze credentials were underlined by his collaboration with Mojave 3, the band of various former members of Slowdive.

Ulrich Schnauss is a highly talented composer and producer who has built a well-earned reputation for high quality, delicate melodies.
