Early Years: 2004 to 2005

James Bright and Steve Miller released the first and only Lux album in 2005: ‘Northern Lights’ (Tundra 2005).

The most successful single from the album was the title track ‘Northern Lights’ which reached a mainstream audience when it was licensed to the Jose Padilla compiled Chill Out compilation album ‘Cafe del Mar Volumen Seis’ (Manifesto 1999).

Northern Lights’ was the only album that Bright and Miller recorded together.

James Bright and Steve Miller only recorded one album under the Lux alias but found a fair degree of success in their short time together, with their accessible Chill Out sound fitting well on Chill Oout compilations..
