Alternative Folk

Alternative Folk music emerged as a distinct genre in the mid-1990’s, fusing elements of Indie Pop and Rock with Folk music.  In the 2000’s Alternative Folk has experienced a Renaissance, driven by artists such Fleet Foxes, The Decemberists and Mumford and Sons.
