Early Years: 2003 to present

Nadav Elkayam’s first release as Electro Sun was in 2003 with the track ‘Prophet Vibes’(Trancelucent Productions 2003) which, as with most of his tracks, was licensed to a compilation album rather than released as a single.

Elkayam released his first Electro Sun album two years later ‘Pure Blue’ (Trancelucent Productions 2005) and his follow up album two years later: ‘Double Trouble’ (Trancelucent Productions 2007).

Double Trouble’ included tracks such as ‘World Cup’, the collaboration with Bizarre Contact which helped bring Electro Sun to wider audiences.  The most successful track of the album (and Electro Sun’s most successful to date) also featured Bizarre Contact: the Electro Sun of Bizarre Contact’s ‘Run Away’.

His growing profile drove increased demand for his DJ-ing skills and Electro Sun now plays Psy-Trance festivals across the globe, including in Asia, Europe and of course Latin America.

Elkayam released the latest Electro Sun album in 20111: ‘Higher Than Ever’ (Com.Pact Records 2011).  ‘Higher Sun’ saw Elkayam pursue more of a hard edged mainstream trance sound than his previous albums.

Electro Sun’s earlier sound was at the lighter end of the Full On Pys-Trance spectrum though in more recent years it has acquired more of a harder, mainstream trance edge.

Nadav Elkayam lives in Beer Sheva in Israel.
