Tycho is the production alias of Amercian producer, musician and graphic artist Scott Hansen. Hansen has been releasing music since 2002, with a style that combines chilled out Downtempo melodies and breakbeats.

Early Years: 2002 to present
Scott Hansen released the first Tycho single in 2002.
The first Tycho album came in 2006 - ‘Past is Prologue’ (Merck 2006) – which included the chilled out, breakbeat and Rhodes piano driven title track which had been released as a single two years previously.
Hansen’s greatest impact to date has come with his latest album ‘Dive’ (Ghostly International 2011) which includes the 2009 single ‘Coastal Brake’ (Ghostly International 2009).
‘Coastal Brake’ combines House beats, lush Ambient melodies and real instruments to full effect.
The incorporation of live instrumentation is a key part of Tycho’s live performances.
Scott Hansen’s Tycho is a hidden gem. A skilful combination of melody and beats that is both credible and accessible.
In addition to being a musician, Scott Hansen is a graphic artist.
