Early Years: 2008 to present

Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed started producing together after meeting via an online forum.  Cisneros was in Austin Texas remixing for dance labels such as Lost Language and Armin van Buuren’s Armada while Reed was in Washington D.C. finishing his own original artist album.  Eventually Reed moved to Austin and the pair started producing together.  10 days after their first studio session they had completed a remix for Armada and had produced their first original track.

Tritonal’s first single came in 2008 with ‘Walk With Me’ (Coldharbour Recordings 2008), a deep and progressive vocal trance track that set the blue print for the duo’s understated and intelligent sound.  ‘Walk With Me’ featured Christina Soto on vocals who would go on to feature as vocalist on most of Tritonal’s subsequent releases.

Tritonal followed up with a rapid flow of further singles, producing at a rapid rate that continues today.  Tracks such as ‘Piercing Quiet’ (Flashover Recordings 2009) carried on the duo’s progressive take on vocal trance and quickly established Tritonal’s profile as an up and coming act to watch.  The labels that have signed Tritonal tracks reads like a who’s who of trance record labels, such as Armada, Lost Language, Blackhole, Flashover and AVA Recordings.  The pair have also won numerous trance radio show awards and remixed for big name trance acts including Ferry Crosten, Ronski Speed, and Solarstone.

In addition to producing and remixing Tritonal perform live, using Ableton Live and CD decks to create a performance that is half live, half DJ.

In 2011 the duo released their first studio album ‘Piercing The Quiet’ (Enhanced Recordings 2011).

Tritonal burst onto the trance scene and have made rapid progress in a short time.  Although the pair are still early in their careers they have established a reputation for and intelligent and progressive take on vocal trance that is a welcome antidote anodyne and bland excesses of much mainstream vocal trance.
