Early Years: 2005 to present

Nick Brennan released the first Tripswitch album in 2005: ‘Circuit Breaker’ (LSD - Liquid Sound Design 2005).

Circuit Breaker’ quickly gained critical acclaim and the support of big name DJs, including Nick Warren, Joe Padilla and Claude Challe, all of whom featured tracks from the album on their own compilations.

Circuit Breaker’ combines melody, intricate Ambient soundscapes and live instruments to effect, as seen on standout tracks ‘Roll Your Own’ and ‘Lyra’.

A remixed version of ‘Circuit Breaker’ was released two years later: ‘Circuit Breaker – Rewired’ (LSD - Liquid Sound Design 2007).

But it would be a full five years before the full follow-up to ‘Circuit Breaker’, which came in the shape of the 2010 album ‘Geometry’ (Section Records 2010).

In the interim Brennan had been focusing on his Downtempo / Dubstep cross-over act Codebreaker and launching his own record label Section Records, which he set up in 2010 in time to release his album ‘Geometry’ on.

Nick Brennan made something of a splash with the release of ‘Codebreaker’ in 2005 but instead of seizing the momentum focused instead on his Codebreaker project.

Since 2010 Nick Brennan has run his own record label Section Records.
