Early Years: 2003 to present

Ott came to London in the late nineties, drawn by the rise of Acid House and Rave.  Inspired by the emerging wave of melodic electronic acts such as Future Sound of London and the Orb, Ott started working as a studio engineer.

During his decade as an engineer he ended up working for many leading acts which had been childhood musical idols. Acts such as Brian Eno, The Orb and Youth.

Ott’s first release in his own right was an album of remixes of classic Psy-Trance tracks by Hallucinogen.  The album ‘In Dub mixed by Ott’ (Twisted Records 2002) featured slower, dub influenced remixes and was a critical success
.
The following year Ott released his debut solo album ‘Blumenkraft’ (Twisted Records 2003) which further buoyed Ott’s growing reputation.  ‘Blumenkraft’ included key tracks such as ‘Smoked Glass & Crome’ and ‘Splitting An Atom’.  The success of ‘Blumenkraft’ led to numerous live performances across the globe and remixes for the likes of Shpongle, Entheogenic and Tripswitch.

Ott has released a further three albums, the most recent coming in 2011:  ‘Mir’ (Ottsonic Music 2011).

Ott’s complex productions reflect his years of sound engineering expertise and experience. His intelligent soundscapes combine eastern influences, breakbeats, ambient textures and analog synthesiser to great effect.

Ott left London at the start of the noughties for South West London to start work on his ambient productions.  Ott has a wife and a daughter.
