Mystical Sun is the production alias of US Ambient and Chill Out producer and DJ Richard Plom.  Mystical Sun has been releasing since 1998 and has released three studio albums, with a fourth due in 2012.

Early Years: 1998 to present

Richard Plom has been releasing as Mystical Sun since the nineties and self-released his debut album in 1998. 

In 1999 he had a number of productions, including ‘Nebulous Mist’ licensed to Ambient and Chill Out compilations. 

Plom continued to have a steady stream of tracks licensed to compilations over the following years and following his growing profile his debut album was given an official release in 2005: ‘Primordial Atmospheres’ (Solarworld Recordings 2005).

Plom released the second Mystical Sun studio album in 2006 ‘Deeperworlds’ (Cyberset Music 2006) and a third two years later: ‘Energy Mind Consciousness’ (Cyberset Music 2008).

The fourth Mystical Sun studio album is due to be released in 2012.

Though Richard Plom has been producing under the Mystical Sun alias for over two decades he hasn’t made as much of a mark on the Ambient scene as many more recently arrived peers.  His music sits more towards the Chill Out end of the Ambient spectrum and lacks some of the Psychedelic and melodic strength of many similar artists.

Richard Plom currently lives in California on the West Coast of the US.
