Early Years: 1993 to present

James Bernard starting producing in 1993 with his early releases somewhere between Trance and driving Techno.

Brernand’s first album ‘Atmospherics’ (Rising High Records 1994) featured the track ‘Lost In It’ (Rising High Records 1994), a slice of lush, melodic Ambient.

After ‘Atmospherics’ Bernard started working for synth manufacturer Korg, doing demos for Korg’s  Electribe series and also working as part of the Korg Sound Design team, creating sounds and patches for many Korg synths.

Though Bernard has continued to release music throughout the rest of the 1990’s and 2000’s, he has become better known in recent years for his work with music software company Propellerheads  where he programmes Reason Refills and performs the role of Artist Relations.

James Bernard is not one of the better known Downtempo and Ambient producers but he has a keen sense of melody.

James Bernard has three daughters.
