Early Years: 2001 to present

Magnus Birgersson and Vincent Villuis started the H.U.V.A. Network project in 2001, with a track – ‘Morning Call’ - included on one of Villuis’ Aes Dana albums.

A reworked version of ‘Morning Call’ was released in 2002 but the pair didn’t really start producing in any significant capacity until 2004 when they had a number of tracks licensed to compilations and also released their debut studio album ‘Distances’ (Ultimae Records 2004).

Distances’ is an album of delicate, trance influenced Ambient melodies and drifting soundscapes pulled together by driving breakbeats, as seen on the track ‘Indigo Room’ (Ultimae Records 2004).

It was another three years before the follow up album: ‘Ephemeris’ (Ultimae Records 2009), an album which features a more brooding, Downtempo Trance feel than ‘Distance’. There are even some more uptempo Trance tracks such as the melodic progressive 'Overload (Putput Mix)'.

When producing together as H.U.V.A. Network, Birgersson and Villuis rarely meet face-to-face, instead doing most of the collaboration online.

H.U.V.A. Network gives Magnus Birgersson and Vincent Villuis a creative output that genuinely combines elements of each of their solo project’s styles.  The result is neither Downtempo trance nor Ambient but something in between.
