Early Years: 2006 to present

Easily Embarrassed centres around the brothers Nick and Jeffrey van der Schilden, with contributions from Peter Spaargaren, who is also a producer in his own right under the alias Void Pointer.

Easily Embarrassed released their first tracks in 2006, including ‘Illusions Within Ourselves’ (Reunion Netlabel 2006), a loosely drifting Chill Out track that is suddenly pulled into life midway through when a rock-like drum pattern kicks in.  As with most of Easily Embarrassed’s productions there is a strong melodic trance feel, which reflects strong influences from local Dutch trance artists.

The trio released their first album in 2008 -  ‘Idyllic Life’ (Cardamar Music 2008) - and the follow up just one year later: ‘Planet Discovery’ (Cosmicleaf Records 2009).  ‘Idyllic Life’ included Easily Embarrassed’s most successful track to date - ‘Reincarnation’ – another trance drenched Chill Out track.

In 2011 Easily Embarrassed started to get an increasing number of live bookings, including at the Dutch Psychedelic festival Solstice in June and the Babion Festival in the Czech Republic.

Easily Embarrassed’s third studio album ‘Tales of the Coin Spinner’ is to be released in late 2011.

Easily Embarrassed are a young group at an early stage in their career and musical development.  The strong trance influences in their music results in a sound which feels like Downtempo Trance rather than Ambient.

Easily Embarrassed members Nick and Jeffrey van der Schilden are brothers. The group use Renoise as their key sequencing software, coupled with various VSTs and synths including a Nord Lead.
