Early Years: 1999 to present

Jason Kibler grew up with a strong interest in Hip-Hop, Jazz and Funk and this diversity of musical taste is present throughout his productions and performances. 

Kibler started releasing under the DJ Logic moniker in the late nineties and released his debut album in 1999: ‘Project Logic’ (Ropeadope Records 1999).

Over the following years built a strong reputation as an experimental and creative producer straddling the worlds of Hip-Hop, Downtempo and Jazz. 

Much of his work followed in the path set by fellow experimental Hip Hop producer DJ Spooky, including the strong Jazz influences.

Kibler’s influence is reflected in his number of high profile collaborations, including Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and Vernon Reid.

The most recent DJ Logic studio album to date is ‘Global Noize’ (Shanachie 2008).

Jason Kibler has played a key role in forging links with Jazz and Hip Hop, as well as being an influential figure in the emergence of the Trip-Hop movement in the early 2000’s.

Jason Kibler was brought up in the Bronx.
