Early Years: 2000 to present

Andy Moor started producing in 2000 with the single ‘Changes’ (Baroque Records 2000).

Moor’s intelligent production style and capabilities were vindicated by being asked to join progressive trance heavyweights Parks and Wilson to join their progressive supergroup Tilt following the departure of joint founding member John Graham, better known by his production alias Quiver.  Moor joined Tilt in 2004 in time to complete the recording of the album ‘Explorer’ (Lost Language 2005).  Although the album and subsequent singles were reasonably successful they didn’t reach the heights of earlier Tilt releases and the group had become inactive by 2006.

By this stage Moor’s career trajectory had begun to accelerate. In 2004 he had released ‘The Whiteroom’ (Liquid Asset 2004) with fellow up-and-coming UK trance producer Adam White. The same year Moor launched his own record label AVA recordings which went on to give a platform for up and coming trance production talent such as Ashley Wallbridge, Tydi, David Forbes and Tritonal.  (AVA recodings became part of Armin van Buuren’s in 2008.)

In 2005 Moor teamed up with UK mainstream trance stalwarts Above and Beyond to release the electro-trance track ‘Air For Life’ (Anjunabeats 2005) which proved to be his biggest success to date.

In 2007 Moor released his debut studio album ‘Marker’ (UNSOUNDS 2007) and the following year another found further mainstream success with another collaboration, this time with US / German progressive trance producer Markus Schulz.  The track - ‘Daydream’ (Coldharbour Recordings 2008) – is dreamy vocal progressive trance that is reminiscent of late nineties Rennaisance sets.  ‘Daydream’ remains Moor’s most successful release.
Moor received a much coveted Grammy nomination in 2008 for his remix of Delerium’s ‘Angelicus’. Moor’s growing status was also reflected in a busy DJing schedule and numerous remixes for top tier acts including for Paul Oakenfold, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Brian Eno and Tiesto.

In 2010 Moor decided to reduce the amount of time he was spending on the road DJ-ing in order to spend more time producing.  One of the results of this was the progressive vocal track ‘She Moves’ (AVA Recordings 2010) featuring Carrie Fisher on vocals and in 2011 issued the second in his Breaking The Silence mix compilations: ‘Breaking The Silence Volume Two’ (Armada Music 2011).
